Military vehicles dating from WWII period, Home Front displays, a 40’s fair ground and a 40’s fashion show. Winston Churchill will be opening the event on Friday 6th Aug plus live entertainment throughout the weekend. Enjoy the WWII skirmish and much more. There will be a wide selection of militaria stalls, a re-enactors market and multi period re-enactments. The beer tent will be selling real ale throughout the whole of the weekend. The Saturday Evening dance featuring DJ “Woody’s War Department” doing the music and special guest “Lola Lamore” singing the sounds of the 40’s. 1940’s Weekend
Join us for an action packed weekend as
we take you back to the era of WWII and
recreate scenes that was once
experienced by both civilians and armed
forces alike. Browse around living history
displays including field nurses
encampment, weapons training, authentic cooking by camp fire, mine
detection, radio equipment and Anderson shelter. To keep the children
entertained there’s a Punch and Judy show whilst you sit back and relax to
the sounds of the brass band. Professional entertainers will keep you
dancing and singing to sounds of the
times. The highlight of each day is the
truly magnificent battle re-enactment
between the German and Allied forces
complete with military vehicles, firearms
and pyrotechnics which will leave you
thinking you’ve been transported back
to war torn Europe.
