News and Updates

updated by bee, 15.01.2008, 10:00 ---------------------------------

Again not updated in a while due to moving and job things and only 56k modem line *grrr*. All sorted now, sort of, so feel free to email me more information!

Added a new country (Spain) and hope for some input in the near future.

Added a few more groups to the UK and the Netherlands, a french forum and added the WWII military history of Denmark (thans to tim).

So much for the start of the newyear, all the best folks, let's hope for another great year for WWII reenactment!

Your humble webmaster.

Since the start of this project, a lot of information has been added to it. Still, there are a lot of gaps to be filled. I thought I write a little guideline on what kind of information I am after regarding the law applicable to reenactment, so anyone who is interested can contribute easier. If in doubt, consult the sections of the UK and Germany, there is lots of information! Also do include links to sites you feel explain a topic in detail and/or provide additional information.

Behaviour, uniforms and the law

How are the laws on uniforms, insignia, signs and signals, paroles, lyrics and songs in your country,
A) on reenactment events and
B) in public in general?

Firearms laws

How are the laws on
A) live firers,
B) deactivated firearms,
C) blank firers,
D) toys looking like firearms or replica firearms,
E) soft air rifles and guns, and
F) knives and bayonets?

What are the regulations for firearms/weapons of the above categories on
A) on reenactment events and
B) in public in general?

What do you have to know when traveling to your country with firearms/weapons of the above categories? What are the necessary documents and the rules for transportation?

Road rules

Just a quick overview of the main requirements in regard to WWII period vehicles on the road. Feel free to write more, of course.
